SnapSort a great resource for choosing your next camera.

March 31st, 2011

I recently found a great site that I'd like to share with you. I found it extremely helpful and hope you will too.

I was looking to compare a digital SLR camera I currently own with a newer "super zoom" digital camera. SnapSort made this comparison quick and easy.

There is a specific page where you can enter two cameras you'd like to compare: http://snapsort.com/compare. Once you type in your choices and click on "Compare" you receive an easy to scan page with all of the particulars.

First, there is a list of differences between the two cameras that are being compared, with reasons to consider each. Things like camera size and weight, sensor size, view finders, ISO, exposure, shooting speeds, video and much more. I found that not only did I find all of the information I was looking for but I learned about some aspects of each camera I hadn't thought about but which were quite important.

Further down the comparison page you'll find an overall score for each camera as well as an area where viewers vote on which camera they prefer.

In addition to the compare features already mentioned you'll also find other helpful information; like the street prices on cameras, camera comparison by type, and current popular model comparisons.

Overall, my experience at SnapSort was extremely positive. SnapSort is a well laid out, easy-to-navigate and informative site that I would recommend to anyone in the market for a new camera who wants to do some research before making your purchase.
